(CNN Spanish) --

There is little left for the second round of the presidential elections that will define the future of Colombia in the coming years and there have been several actors, musicians, writers and athletes who have publicly expressed their political preferences.

These are some of the Colombian celebrities who have taken to social media, music or videos to show their support for either the left-wing candidate and former guerrilla, Gustavo Petro, or Rodolfo Hernández, the controversial independent candidate who snuck into to the second round after unseating the official candidate of the right.

  • Who is the favorite to win the elections in Colombia?

Those who support Gustavo Petro

The actress Margarita Rosa de Francisco, known for her leading role in "Café con aroma de mujer" and for her participation in several soap operas, has been very open about her preference for Gustavo Petro and from the first round she has remained firm in his support for the candidate of the Historical Pact.

He has done it above all through his Twitter account where he gives his opinion on the political panorama of the country.

Here he himself shared his vote for the formula of Gustavo Petro and Francia Márquez, after exercising his right to vote in the United States.

And it is that from June 13 to 18, Colombians living abroad can go to vote at the consulate of their jurisdiction.

"For them but, above all, for a project whose central axis is the flavor of life," the actress tweeted and accompanied the message with photographs of the voting certificate and the electoral card marked by the Historical Pact.

Another Colombian actor who has been supporting Petro since the first round is Julián Román.

In a video recorded at Fabio Rubiano's house, Román, actresses Adriana Romero, Carmenza Gómez, Marcela Valencia and actor Carlos Duque tell the reasons for their vote for Petro and Francia Márquez.

The actress Carolina Ramírez, who connected to the conversation by video call from Buenos Aires, Argentina, also shared her reasons: "I think that the most important thing about this new proposal, about this change, goes beyond one person. It is very important that beyond Petro as a character, is the movement".

Others like Diego Trujillo, who does not appear in the video, have shared it.

"I adhere! I'm going to vote for @petrogustavo," wrote the Colombian actor and comedian.

For their part, Andrea Echeverri (from the band Aterciopelados), the members of Doctor Krápula, Walter Índigo, Totó la Momposina and other Colombian musicians participated in a promotional video for Petro's campaign.

"I love you very much, Colombia" is the title of the song whose chorus goes like this: "Petro my president. Voting for change will be real. Good things are coming. That pact promises unity. Petro your president. Colombia begins to change" .

Actor Santiago Alarcón, recognized for his leading role as Germán in the series "El man es Germán," also recently said on Twitter that he would vote for the Petro-Márquez formula: "Pretend surprise," Alarcón wrote.

While the actress Natalia Reyes, famous for having appeared in the last "Terminator" movie, hinted that she had chosen and would vote for Petro in the second round.

"At this point you don't have to be a 'petrista' to vote for Petro," the Colombian wrote on Twitter.

Those who support Rodolfo Hernández

The writer and novelist William Ospina became interested in Rodolfo Hernández after seeing an interview they did with him on RCN.

"He went around the

talking to the journalists, and I really liked everything he answered and how relevant each of the topics he talked about seemed to me," he told

.

After that he wrote a couple of articles in the newspaper

where he shared his reflections on the proposals and the way of being of the independent candidate described by some analysts as "the Colombian Donald Trump".

"I am certain that if Petro wins the changes will be more difficult than if Rodolfo wins, because Petro arouses much more resistance," he writes in the most recent.

In April, Hernández said that Ospina "will be in charge of the Ministry of Culture and the Environment," a proposal for the merger of two portfolios that has been heavily criticized by opponents of the former mayor.

Nairo Quintana, Colombian cyclist runner-up in the Tour de France, also revealed that he would vote for Hernández in the first round.

"We are not from the right or from the left, we want a country in peace where day by day we can build a better future. My vote will be #Rodolfopresidente," the athlete tweeted.

The model and DJ Natalia Paris has expressed her support since before the first round of Hernández.

In a May video on Instagram, she posted an interview with the candidate and the caption "We need a change."

The singer Marbelle, very critical of Petro, also said that she supports Hernández and said on Twitter with some scathingness, in relation to the famous slap in the face of the candidate for a councilman when he was mayor of Bucaramanga: "I just want Rodolfo to slap him of those who know PETRO".
