It took Irina Fuchs several hours to take the S-Bahn home to Buchenau.

The Munich commuter is pissed off and reports chaotic conditions.

Munich – Irina Fuchs works in the east of the city and lives in the west of Munich.

Like many others, she therefore commutes every day.

It takes her an hour from door to door: from home in Buchenau (district of Fürstenfeldbruck) to the laboratory at the Leuchtenbergring, where she works as a research assistant.

Munich: Blocking of the main S-Bahn route – commuter experienced “just chaos”

Instead of one, Irina Fuchs was on the road for five hours on Wednesday (June 8th)!

What she experienced because of the blocking of the main S-Bahn line is beyond the scope of the 49-year-old.

"It was bad," she says of the scenes that took place at the S-Bahn stations: "Just chaos."

On that day, the woman from Buchenau finished work around 4 p.m. and was looking forward to spending some quality time with her partner Alexander Deecke.

Little did she know that she would not be home until 9 p.m.

She suddenly realized what was going on when her S4 didn't go to Geltendorf, but ended up in Laim.

The platform: completely overcrowded.

Crowds of people stepped on each other's toes.

"Everyone was so nervous.

For the first time, I was afraid of falling onto the track," she says in view of the crowd.

Fuchs escaped one station back to the Hirschgarten, where she was stuck for a long time.

When it will continue and what is actually going on remained unclear.

At some point it was said that people were on the track.

The Munich S-Bahn recently had to deal with major delay problems.

Chaos at the Munich S-Bahn: Those responsible call “children in the track area” the reason

Information that the press office of the S-Bahn confirms on request: "On Wednesday evening, train traffic in the Pasing area had to be temporarily stopped because children had been sighted on the track area." An operation that led to the blocking of the entire main route.

According to Fuchs, the passengers did not receive any information about the display boards on the platform.

"There were pregnant women and children who urgently needed to go to the toilet," she recalls of the mess.

"I was exhausted," says Irina Fuchs.

And at some point just glad to have arrived home after all.

"It can't be that someone waits more than five hours for the S-Bahn - and that on an eight-hour day," says her partner angrily.

"We regret the inconvenience for the passengers and would like to apologize for it," the S-Bahn said.
