The new crown pneumonia epidemic in Hong Kong has been repeated repeatedly, and confirmed cases have also been reported in various districts.
The government announced today (16th) that at least 23 housing estates and housing estates in the North, East and Tai Po districts had positive sewage test results and relatively high virus levels.
The Housing Department and the local District Offices will successively distribute a total of about 225,000 rapid antigen test kits to its residents, cleaners and property management staff for their self-testing.
Authorities said that in response to the new crown epidemic, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Drainage Services Department are collecting sewage samples in various districts for coronavirus testing, and positive results have been detected in the sewage in some areas, indicating that there may be hidden patients on premises in the area.
The latest involved places include:
• North District - Choi Yuen Village, Bing Kong, Bing Kong and Wu Uk Village
• East District - Fuxin Garden, Xiaocuiyuan, Xinghua Village, Xinghuayuan, Xinghua (1) Village, Xinghua (2) Village, residential areas near Fortress Hill, Fortress Hill, and residential areas near No. 17-45 Tin Hau Temple Road (see attachments) )

The government reminds that when using rapid antigen test kits, one should pay attention to and follow the manufacturer's instructions, conduct the test and read the results correctly, and take pictures immediately after reading the results for record.
Hands must be clean before and after the test, and non-essential supplies should be kept to a minimum in the sample collection area.
After testing, all components of the test kit need to be carefully wrapped, sealed and disposed of properly.
If the household environment is contaminated during sample collection, it should be disinfected with 1:49 diluted household bleach or 70% alcohol.
Persons who have obtained a positive result for the first time with the rapid antigen test can declare through the online platform of the "2019 Coronavirus Rapid Antigen Test Positive Results Person Declaration System".
If members of the public have difficulty using the online platform, they can call the automated system at 183 6119 to register their identity documents and telephone numbers.
The Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health will contact the person concerned to complete the declaration process.
