Four and a half kilograms of gold, obtained on suspicion of crime, were seized last night (Thursday) as part of Operation Safe Track and the national struggle to tackle crime in Arab society and strengthen governance.
A retailer in the gold field in the locality of Kasifa is suspected of failing to report transactions, failing to register gold purchases he purchased from private individuals in the Palestinian Authority and Turkey and managing false ledgers.
In light of the suspicion, a search warrant was issued against him.
