Residents of the western streets of the Pardes Katz neighborhood in Bnei Brak have discovered in recent months that their initially limited parking spaces were "seized" by cars, whose owners found a creative way to put them on the street without fear of receiving a report from the municipality - removing the license plate.

According to G., a resident of Yonatan Street in the neighborhood, which borders the industrial area of BSR Towers, "the parking shortage that has always been part of the living conditions in the neighborhood has become a real nightmare."

C. explained that people who come to the business center during the day, want to avoid parking costs in the towers and nearby open parking lots and park their cars on the neighborhood streets.

The municipality, which is aware of the parking problems at the site, allows free parking for residents of these streets starting at 17:00 in the evening.

However, even with this permit, the phenomenon of vehicles without a license plate is expanding.

According to G. and other residents, attempts were made to contact the municipal hotline on the matter, but no action was taken to evacuate the vehicles.

"The municipality's disregard gives a windfall to the people who do it," G. said.

Who are these people?

Genre is careful not to point the finger of blame.

From a tour of the place it is not difficult to notice that the area is networked with garages, especially north of these streets.

The fact that these cars are interchangeable and are not abandoned on the street for long weeks, but change their location once every few days, leads to the conclusion that this is indeed a new "patent" for free parking for owners, but at the expense of residents.

The Israel Police stated that "as a rule, the phenomenon described in your application is not known to the station.

The Bnei Brak municipality did not respond.
