The RN, which hopes to have a parliamentary group after the legislative elections, intends to present “a text for the fight against Islamism”, assured Marine Le Pen on France Inter.

The text, which was presented to the press in January 2021, seeks to ban "Islamist ideologies" from all spheres of society, from cinema to school to libraries.

It proposes in particular to prohibit in its article 10 "signs or outfits constituting by themselves an unequivocal and ostentatious affirmation of" Islamist ideologies.

Among these outfits is the veil, which the RN considers an "Islamist uniform".

According to Marine Le Pen, the National Assembly must have “the responsibility of deciding on a law to fight against Islamism”.
