Al Jazeera tonight (Thursday) posted pictures of the bullet, which they claimed led to the death of journalist Sheerin Abu Akala last month.
According to the report, the 5.56 cm diameter armor-type bullet was fired from an M4 weapon used by the IDF.
In the photos, the bullet is seen to be distorted, and according to Al Jazeera, this distortion was caused by the penetration of the journalist's helmet from the injury to her head.
On the other hand, the network did not report whether the bullet was in its hands or what the source of its documentation was.
At the end of last month, the Palestinian Authority published the findings of the investigation into the journalist's death.
The PA accused the IDF of deliberately firing on an al-Jazeera reporter, even when it was clear that she was a journalist. It was further alleged that the soldiers shot her while trying to flee the scene.
The plaintiff who presented the findings further claimed that the bullet carried characteristics indicating that it was shot by a sniper, and that its use was illegal because it was penetrating armor.
The findings of the Palestinian investigation also show that the shooting continued even as they tried to evacuate the reporter from the scene.
There were no clashes with gunmen, "the prosecutor claimed." Max threw stones - the only shooting in the area was by the army.
" Without prior warning, "the Palestinian investigation claimed.
"There happen to be elements of war crime."
The PA refused to display the bullet image, claiming that "Israel will 'play' with it, and try to change the story."
