The era of the positive body and its derivatives refuses to relax, and this time on the aim of the skinny models, and to be precise, this week it is the turn of model Yael Shelby.
The young model, who is considered one of the leading models in Israel, recently starred in headlines in her relationship with singer Omar Adam.
New paparazzi photos I posted show the hot couple on a private vacation in Mykonos.
Luckily for them, or not, right in front of them sat one of my followers, who recognized the potential in the photos and documented the moment.
Three pictures were sent to me, and in one of them the ribs of its stages appear to be particularly prominent, and the attack on the net has begun.
On the one hand, opponents of thinness who were quick to express their opinion mercilessly: "Her bones are horrible," responded one follower.
"What a disgusting body she has," she added.
And another: "I hope girls do not hurt themselves in the wake of these pictures."
On the other hand, the reactions that came to her defense: "To tell someone that he is fat is alas, but to say that a thin person is ill is legitimate ?!", wrote one of the followers.
'The hypocrisy is celebrating.
If this was someone who was a little full you would not have written 'extreme fat'.
Let her live, "she added, concluding," I do not think she asked your opinion about her weight, and let go. "
The question of who is right and which side I connect to, is irrelevant.
I am against extreme thinness (a condition whose stages are not in it, in my opinion) and more than that, I am in favor of each person considering how much he wants, while maintaining his health.
But the truth is that the bones and weight of its stages are not the issue here.
The thing is the spirit of the time we are in for too long.
An era in which every word of mouth becomes a headline, and every picture with minus two kilograms becomes a storm on the net.
An era in which more than 500 comments in a post about a model's weight are a legitimate thing, and if they used to be hidden behind the keyboard, today it is no longer.
An era where models are afraid of losing weight, and artists are afraid of being interviewed.
An age where everything is explosive and self-righteous at the same time.
As a journalist, I have enjoyed quite a few times the involvement and discussions that have arisen as a result of my items, rightly or less, but I have also grown tired of the phenomenon.
It's time for everyone to concentrate on the number that appears on their weight.
