A serious electrical accident occurred in Neustadt an der Donau.
A dispatcher had noticed a hiss, his colleague then saw the two men.
Neustadt an der Donau – A 36-year-old died in a serious electrical accident early Thursday morning (June 16).
Another man - also 36 years old - was critically injured.
This was announced by the Lower Bavaria police.

Accordingly, the accident happened in the track area of the station in Neustadt an der Donau (Kelheim district).
According to the press release, around 3:00 a.m., the dispatcher "detected a hissing noise and a bright light."
He then alerted an incoming train driver.
"He in turn noticed the two men who had obviously previously climbed onto a freight train that was standing in the area of the track," said the police.
At least one of the two men had come into contact with the overhead line with his head.
Both suffered massive burn injuries from the arc and electric shock that occurred.

In the marshalling yard in Munich-Trudering, several people recently jumped off a freight train and were electrocuted, some of them seriously.

One man died on the spot, the other came to a special clinic with a rescue helicopter.
As a result of the accident recording, a three-hour track closure was necessary.
