The Southern Region Branch of Roads and Bridges, in cooperation with the Roads and Transportation Branch in Quneitra Governorate, continues the maintenance and rehabilitation work on the eastern axis of the road connecting Quneitra and Daraa governorates.
The director of the Southern Region Branch of Roads and Bridges, Eng. Afif Al-Zoubi, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the project aims to improve the technical condition of the road by rehabilitating and maintaining worn out sites in some sections of the road, estimated at a length of 19 km. To spread a layer of sand (stoke) on both sides of the road.
In turn, the Director of Roads and Transport Branch in Quneitra, Engineer Hussein Hammoud, pointed out the importance of the eastern axis of the road, as it links the southern, central and northern countrysides of the governorate, in addition to being a vital road linking the governorates of Quneitra and Daraa and facilitating the movement of agricultural products and building materials between them.
