Daraa-Sana
The area planted with the cucumber crop in Daraa during the current season is about 3 thousand dunums, and the production is estimated between 6000 and 7500 tons.
The head of the Plant Production Department in the Daraa Agriculture Directorate, Eng. Wael Al-Ahmad, told SANA reporter that the cucumber crop is planted within the plan of summer crops and vegetables, and its cultivation is spread in all areas of the governorate according to the availability of water sources and on two summer and intensified groats.
Al-Ahmad pointed out that cucumber is a fast-growing crop, its production covers the needs of the governorate, and the surplus is marketed to Damascus markets.
