The essential
The second round of legislative elections will take place this Sunday, June 19.
572 deputies have yet to be elected, 5 having already been elected last Sunday.
It is in this context that Emmanuel Macron is expected in Ukraine during the day, alongside German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Mario Draghi.
Marine Le Pen deemed "completely inappropriate" the intervention of Emmanuel Macron, who demanded a "solid majority" on the tarmac on Tuesday at Orly, the leader of the RN seeing it as a "sign of feverishness".
Jean-Luc Mélenchon for his part denounced "a Trump sketch".

Philippe and Bayrou in the countryside together
The two enemy brothers of the outgoing majority, Edouard Philippe and François Bayrou, met on Wednesday for the first time in the legislative campaign in Yonne, in order to join forces in support of their candidates threatened by the National Rally.
"Today, we meet because I believe that we share this desire to give the country a stable and solid majority," said former Prime Minister Edouard Philippe.
“If we are both there, it is to show that we have the same sense of responsibility (and) that together we can serve our country”, affirmed, for his part, the boss of the Modem.
With Edouard Philippe, “we are not friends, but partners”, specified François Bayrou while leaving the room, recalling that he “has not always agreed with and he not always with me”.
"But the important thing is the gravity of the moment we are living," he added.
"We were not angry: we are determined partners of the parliamentary and presidential majority," Edouard Philippe told the press as he left the meeting.
