U.S.-led coalition forces arrested a senior ISIS leader in Syria overnight (Wednesday-Thursday).
The wanted man is an experienced bomb maker and engineer who has become one of the organization's senior leaders in Syria.
A statement issued by the coalition said no civilians had been injured in the operation and that no aircraft had been damaged.
However, the coalition did not report exactly where the operation took place.
A spokesman for a separate Turkish-backed Syrian rebel group told Reuters news agency that coalition forces had carried out a raid on helicopters in the village of al-Khumayra south of the Turkish border.
According to the same report, this is the first operation of its kind in the area.
The last memorable operation by the United States and the West inside Syrian territory took place last February. Then the forces raided and eliminated ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashemi.
