Notice to the kings of ancient wheat and aficionados of long fermentation: the artisan bakery Atelier P1, which delights the inhabitants of the Butte Montmartre with its loaves and pastries, welcomes the general public every Wednesday in the open bakery of its bright shop. (adults and accompanied children, in groups of 10 maximum) to teach them the basics and secrets of making organic sourdough bread.

After a bit of theory, it's time for practice: kneading the dough, shaping the loaves, baking in the oven... And tasting, of course.

Without forgetting, the delivery, before departure, of a small pot of 100% natural sourdough to practice at home!

For daddies: Bogato

Bogato, children's favorite pastry shop, fond of its cupcakes, biscuits and other very playful cakes, decorated with unicorns, cars, superheroes or princesses, also offers pastry lessons in the basement of its pop shop in the Marais. and “cake design” for adults and children.

The most fun format is the parent/child duo workshop (from 4 years old), to bake and create all kinds of colorful marzipan decorations: animal donuts, gardener or beach cake,

For those who swear by transalpine cuisine, head to the Scuola di Eataly, the space reserved for cooking classes on the floor of Oscar Farinetti's fabulous grand bazaar, Eataly Paris Marais.

Pizza, fresh pasta, sauces, lasagna, risotto, vegetarian dishes, tiramisu, focaccia, Sicilian cannolo;

lessons alone, in pairs or with the children (little chefs): there is something for

 !

In the basement, next to the enoteca, the Scuola del Vino even allows you to learn about Italian wines from different regions and food pairings.

For sock juice dads: La Belleville Brûlerie

Nothing better to learn about real good coffee than to participate in a cupping, the codified tasting technique used by roasters and baristas to assess the quality of beans.

But no need to know you to lend you the exercise.

After shedding light on the history of coffee, its terroirs and its aromatic subtleties, you will be guided to taste three cupping coffees, before a fourth prepared in filter, Italian and espresso by one of the experts of this roastery dedicated to coffee from speciality.

You will leave with a coffee, a bag and lots of advice for the house!

For Hopped Dads: Brew Unique

There is no shortage of workshops for brewing your own beer in Paris, but our favorite remains that of the American Mike Gilmore, who has been living in the heart of the Sentier for about seven years.

After choosing - alone or in pairs - your style of beer from around thirty recipes (IPA, stout, triple, etc.), you proceed to the selection of malts, barley and hops, before making your brew like a little chemist in a imposing pot (not without having taken the time to taste some homemade beverages).

We then come back after a month for the bottling and labeling of 36 bottles of 50 cl with the name we have given them.
