In the final statement of the eighteenth international meeting on Syria in the Astana format, the guarantor states renewed their firm commitment to the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic.
The guarantor states affirmed their determination to continue working to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and to stand against separatist agendas aimed at undermining Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The guarantor states condemned the terrorist attacks that target civilian facilities in Syria and lead to innocent victims, and reiterate the need to continue continuous cooperation in order to eliminate the terrorist organizations “ISIS” and Jabhat al-Nusra and all other individuals, groups and entities associated with them.
The guarantor states affirmed the leading role of the Astana track in settling the crisis and stress that lasting security and stability in northeastern Syria can only be achieved on the basis of preserving Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
