The joint Iraqi forces launched today a security operation to hunt down the remnants of terrorists in Nineveh Governorate, in the north of the country.
The Popular Mobilization Authority announced in a statement today that the army forces, with the support of the Brigade 44, the Special Regiment of the Nineveh Operations Command, the Operations and Intelligence Departments, and the Medical and Military Engineering Directorates, carried out today an inspection and security operation in the Hatra desert south of Mosul in Nineveh.
The statement stressed that the operation aims to pursue the remnants of terrorist groups in the desert.
Yesterday, Iraqi forces eliminated four terrorists and arrested four others in 3 governorates in north and east Iraq.
