Today, Lattakia governorate witnessed traffic congestion, especially in the starting garages in city centers, with the delay in supplying the buses with diesel, and the work focused mainly on the internal transport company's buses.

Member of the Executive Office of the Internal Trade Sector, Ali Youssef, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the delay in supplying the sevices was caused by the delay in the arrival of requests for diesel fuel received today in the governorate from its source, pointing out that the first requests that reach the governorate are sent to the gas stations in the garages.

Director of the Internal Transport Company, Eng. Tariq Issa, confirmed that the company’s buses worked at their maximum capacity to meet the transport movement according to its capabilities and availability of material, pointing out that 44 transfers were made to Jableh, Qardaha, Al Haffa, Zagrine, Mashqita, Bahloulia, Al Muzaira’a, Dabash and Wata Al Khan with the capabilities available to the company.

For his part, the head of the Jableh City Council pointed out that the garage administration worked to coordinate the work between the available buses and the internal transport company’s buses, and with the arrival of the material to the garage and the start of distributing it to the rest of the buses, the transport movement would improve in order to secure the transportation of all passengers to their destinations and reduce congestion.
