That sounds unusual.
And that's actually unusual.
But Kathrin Eltschig from Freising offers exactly that – a small sales column from which you can pick up souvenirs for spontaneous invitations for a cash payment or via Paypal.
Also and especially baby clothes.
At Mühlenweg 5b in Vötting is the pillar, which may be the last resort for many people when they need to quickly buy a present or a souvenir.
Especially baby and toddler stuff
The self-service shop emerged from Eltschig's online shop with the beautiful name "katiskleinewelt", which the 23-year-old has been running since 2020.
When more and more of her customers asked where they could buy and pick up the things, she came up with the idea for this self-service shop, says Eltschig.
Especially baby and toddler things (up to the age of four) can currently be found there.
She started sewing at the age of ten, and when she was 15 she was given a sewing course and sewed a pencil case.
When she started working part-time as a teacher in a day care center in Freising in 2016, that was the impetus to switch to clothes for children.
Since then, her hobby has become her second job.
She spends an average of 40 hours a week on it.
Bears are especially popular
After all, Eltschig takes care of everything on her own - the business, purchasing the fabrics (organic, fair and high quality are important to her), creating her own designs, including the print ("Bears and other animals are particularly popular". ) and of course the production itself, for which she has set up a small but nice corner in her apartment.

The customers of the online shop come from as far as Berlin, Hamburg and Austria, since the small self-service shop has existed there have been more and more Freisingers shopping at Eltschig.
Important: Everyone has paid well so far, emphasizes Eltschig.
But she had no doubts about that anyway.
And so far she has only had positive messages from customers.
“A lot of people send me pictures when the kids are wearing the clothes.
That makes me happy.” And more and more often friends and acquaintances from other crèches or kindergartens tell her that one of their offspring has worn something from “katiskleinewelt”.
"katiskleinewelt" is not that small
But the small, beautiful things are not only available online and at the self-service column.
Eltschig is also represented at the arts and crafts market on the Pantaleonsberg in Kranzberg or at the Freising Christmas market - when the markets take place again.
Because Kati's world is not as small as the name might suggest: tops, pajamas, dresses, socks, outdoor, pants, one-piece suits and and and - all that plus nice accessories and stationery is Kati's pretty big world.
However, Eltschig does not want to switch completely to sewing and the “katiskleinewelt” business model.
It's just the right mix at the moment - between jubilation and hustle and bustle in the Weihenstephan "Children's Dreams" and the often meditative activity of sewing at home.
