The Lands Department announced today (16th) that, pursuant to section 4 of the Land Resumption Ordinance (Cap. 124) and section 14 of the Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance (Cap. 370), a notice of land resumption was posted, involving 19 pieces of private land with a total area of about 1.8 hectares.
The content refers to the government's resumption of land for public housing development in Fanling Area 48 and the construction of a school.
Among them, the development of public housing in District 48 is expected to provide about 4,000 units, and the first batch of households will be available in 2029.
The land will be returned to the government three months after the announcement (i.e. September 17, 2022), and close communication will be maintained with the relevant land owners and affected persons to properly handle their compensation and resettlement matters.
