Prince William apparently wants to prevent Prince Andrew's royal return at all costs.

He doesn't even shy away from an ultimatum.

His rigor is having an effect.

Windsor – Prince Andrew (62) not only has a difficult time with his compatriots, he has also lost the favor of his relatives.

The fact that the Duke of York, who has fallen out of favor, is now apparently looking for the limelight again, annoys many a royal in the British royal family, especially Prince William (39).

"Garter Day" without Prince Andrew: Prince William speaks a word of power

Prince Andrew had to cancel his participation in the big celebrations for the 70th throne jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II (96) at short notice due to a corona infection, but he should continue to push his return to the public.

At this year's "Order of the Garter" "Garter Day" in Windsor, the second eldest son of the regent was not to be seen.

At Prince William's request, Andrew was probably uninvited, as reported by "Evening Standard".

The absence of the 62-year-old is said to have been the condition for Williams coming.

“The Duke of Cambridge was adamant.

If [the Duke of] York insisted on attending publicly, he [William] would back out," the palace insider revealed.

Charles and William veto: Queen Elizabeth invites Andrew out

Prince Andrew was able to follow the private program of the ceremony, but he was not allowed to appear in front of the cameras.

According to the “Sun”, Prince Charles (73) and Prince William are said to have spoken to Queen Elizabeth II in the run-up to the event and expressed their concerns, after which the regent is said to have changed her mind at short notice.

Andrew's last public appearance at the memorial service for Prince Philip (99, † 2021) in the spring caused a huge outcry.

The Duke of Cambridge could thwart further return attempts in the future.

Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton (40) are moving to Windsor in the summer, which should strengthen their relationship with the Queen.
