French President Emmanuel Macron praised the "heroism" of Ukrainians on Thursday, after a brief visit to Irpin, one of the suburbs of kyiv devastated in the first weeks of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, assuring that France stood "at the side of the Ukrainians without ambiguity".
“We have all seen these images of a devastated city, which is both a heroic city since it is here, among other places, that the Ukrainians stopped the Russian army which was descending on kyiv.
So you have to imagine the heroism of the army, but also of the Ukrainian population, ”said the French president, who was accompanied by German leaders Olaf Scholz, Italian Mario Draghi, and Romanian Klaus Iohannis.
“Ukraine must be able to resist and win” against the Russian army, he said.

Asked by journalists about the statements in which he said that Russia should not be "humiliated", much criticized in Ukraine, Emmanuel Macron defended himself!
