Symbolic torch relay of the Schützenjugend - Tölzer Gau involved

The Bavarian Shooting Youth (BSSJ) took the 50th anniversary of the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 as an opportunity to organize a symbolic torch relay through all 106 Schützengaue in the Bavarian Sports Shooting Association (BSSB).

Bad Tölz/Sachsenkam – The torch relay stands for the connection between the marksmen and shooters.

The torches are passed from Schützengau to Schützengau and from one district youth leadership to the next.

Of course, the Schützengau Bad Tölz is also involved.

Since the handover of the specially manufactured Guschu torches is to take place at prominent locations, the representatives of the board of directors from Gau Bad Tölz and their colleagues from Holzkirchen am Reutberg near Sachsenkam met.

The handover took place in the best weather in front of a fantastic backdrop.

A total of eight symbolic torches, based on the eight shooting ranges in the BSSB, are in motion.

The torch relay ends on Saturday, July 30th, at the Olympic shooting range in Garching-Hochbrück.
