The Syrian Telecom Company indicated that the total number of telephone bills paid for the months of last January and February amounted to 2,003,167, according to a statistic recently conducted by the Ministry of Communications and Technology.
In a statement to SANA’s reporter, the director of the company’s IT department, Ghassan Akash, explained that 80.16 percent of the phone subscriptions have committed themselves to paying their dues for the aforementioned issue “in the months of January and February.”
Akash indicated that 1,605,799 telephone bills were paid before the financial cut-off date on the 27th of last May, indicating that the commitment of most subscribers to pay their telephone bills before the financial cut has greatly contributed to the speedy return of telephone services for subscribers who paid their bills after their telephone subscriptions entered the financial cut-off stage. for services.
Akash pointed out that the number of bills paid after the implementation of the financial cutting operations on the mentioned date amounted to 397,368 telephone bills, noting that the number of electronic payment transactions for the mentioned session reached 472,902, due to the increasing demand of subscribers to pay their telephone bills using electronic means.
