The wounded Socrates Ahmed works in his job duties related to conducting agricultural research, studying soil samples and measuring fertility indicators, as he contributed to improving the quality of some cultivated varieties, which was reflected in the benefit of farmers in the region.

The wounded Al-Watan project explained in a post on its Facebook page that the wounded Ahmed obtained a doctorate in agricultural engineering from Tishreen University and exercises his duties in the management of the Scientific Research Center in Tartous, the Citrus Research Department, and continues his work in a number of farms scattered in the countryside of the governorate and conducts agricultural research that contributed to improving Maize yield quality.

Despite the war injury that Ahmed suffered in 2017, which led to the amputation of his leg and several other injuries, his day is full of work and achievement, and he currently has many modern agricultural experiments aimed at reducing the use of fertilizers and saving their high price on farmers.

On the 27th of last February, the Faculty of Agriculture at Tishreen University discussed the doctoral thesis of the wounded Socrates Ahmed, who is one of the seven completely disabled patients in the postgraduate studies and the first war wounded to obtain a doctorate with an excellent rate.
