To represent Syria in the Arab Reading Challenge initiative, the five best schools in Syria competed today in the final qualifiers to choose the best school through the Zoom program out of 1910 schools that participated in the challenge at the level of Syria.
It competes in the final qualifiers to choose the best secondary school for Ghazi Al-Dibs, Al-Suwayda, the daughters of the martyrs in Damascus, the First Sharia Secondary School for Girls in Aleppo, Sobhi Dayeh in Aleppo, and Maimoun Hammoudi for the outstanding students by default, and they were tested by a committee from the United Arab Emirates.
The general coordinator of the initiative in Syria, Ali Al-Abbas, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the competition began today among five schools in the final stage qualifiers at the level of Syria to choose the distinguished school that will go to the United Arab Emirates and participate in the Arab world.
Al-Abbas added that the qualifiers continue to include tomorrow the selection of the best coordinator, and then the selection of the qualified students on the next Saturday and Sunday, pointing to the importance of the school’s participation in the qualifiers, as each school submitted a file containing the criteria set by the organizing body, the United Arab Emirates, and through these criteria, the best school will be selected.
Al-Abbas pointed out that the coordinator who participated in the qualifiers and will be chosen is the school's coordinator, named in advance and whose name is registered on the competition's website.
School Lina Hamami, coordinator of Sobhi Dayeh School in Aleppo, indicated her participation in the Arab Reading Challenge in its sixth season for 2022 because reading contributes to making a positive change in society, stressing its future vision of preparing a generation acquainted with all sciences and knowledge capable of building a beautiful tomorrow for Syria.
Teacher Ali Suleiman, coordinator of Maimon Hamoudi School for Outstanding Students, pointed out that the Reading Challenge competition for the sixth season was announced on the school’s page on social media, and 14 male and female students participated at the school level. Students, including them at the county level.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Education identified the five best schools and five coordinators from different governorates to participate in the final qualifiers for the competition.
The winning school and the winning coordinator at the Syrian level will participate in the qualifiers at the Arab level, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates.
