Finally in Kyiv.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and French President Emmanuel Macron arrived at the train station in the Ukrainian capital on Thursday morning.
Emmanuel Macron, French President:
»Our message to the Ukrainian people: Europe is united in its support - in the present and in the future.
The coming weeks will be very difficult weeks.«
Now they will meet President Zelenskyy and visit the site of a massacre, the French President said.
The meeting with Zelenskyy is not only about further arms deliveries, but also about Ukraine's possible EU accession.
Like other western guests in the past, the three traveled to Kyiv by train.
Macron and Scholz were considered hesitant.
For weeks they had refused a visit to Kyiv.
