The three beers were fatal: under the influence of alcohol, a Geretsrieder (21) drove into the ditch near Schwaigwall.

In court he showed remorse.

Geretsried

– The three beers that a young Geretsrieder had drunk while partying with colleagues were far too many: on the way home, the 21-year-old slipped his car into the ditch on the winding road between Schwaigwall and the roundabout on the B11.

The result of the blood test showed a value of almost 0.8 per thousand.

The trainee was sentenced to a fine of 400 euros at the Wolfratshausen district court for negligent drunk driving and he must also give up his driver's license for a total of eight months.

From the young man's point of view, there was nothing to interpret about the facts, which were summarized in a few slim sentences in the indictment.

"It was stupid," he said in retrospect.

After his car tipped over into the ditch, he crawled out and walked home.

Finding him hadn't been difficult for the police.

“Something is shaping, in the future 0.0 will be the trend when driving a car.

I could have involved others, then it would be my turn for involuntary manslaughter," said the accused, indicating that his conversation with the juvenile court clerk had had an effect.

"He was very clear," said the 21-year-old.

The prosecutor was convinced of the accused's remorse: "I have the impression that he has realized that he has acted completely wrong here and that he will never drive under the influence of alcohol again."

Judge Friederike Kirschstein-Freund followed the prosecutor's request and the youth court clerk's suggestion in her sentence: 400 euros fine for the social training course of the district office and a three-month driver's license ban.
