NEW - The Dieppe brand revisits its history with a numbered edition of 150 units evoking the A110 berlinetta which came second in the 1975 Tour de Corse.

It didn't drag.

On sale since 9 a.m. this morning, Friday June 17, the 150 copies of the limited edition of the new Alpine are already sold out.

A success that should lead Alpine to replicate the experience.

Proof that the brand should not hesitate to rely on the richness of its past.

Like the practices of Ferrari and Porsche, which do not hesitate to summon their history with special and limited series designed as true collectors' items, the Renault group's sports car brand has decided to revive its heyday.

This is how the Dieppe manufacturer is launching an A110 which recalls, in its color and decoration, Jean-Pierre Nicolas' berlinetta entered in the 1975 Tour de Corse. The only survivor of an armada of four Alpines, including two A310s,

Sold in only 150 units, the new Alpine A110 Tour de Corse 75 borrows exactly the decoration of the 1975 car, yellow and white with black bonnet and roof and white rims.

The basis is the latest “S” evolution of the berlinetta.

Its 1.8 liter 4-cylinder has a power of 300 horsepower.

The equipment includes orange Brembo brake callipers and Sabelt racing bucket seats embroidered with the name of the Tour de Corse 75. A plate numbered from 1 to 150 on the central tunnel completes the equipment.

Invoiced at 80,000 euros and already acting as a collector's item, this special Tour de Corse 75 series did not remain available for long on the manufacturer's application.
