Amazon's Prime Day online sales event will take place July 12-13, the company said Thursday.
Last year's spectacular sales, which returned to its usual summer position, were the largest two-day sales period for outside vendors in the company's history.
Sales in 2021 exceeded $11 billion, an increase of 6.1% compared to Prime Day 2020, which was held in October, according to Adobe Analytics.

The event will start at 3:00 am (MIami time) on July 12 and continues for 48 hours in various countries, such as the United States, Brazil, Mexico and Spain and, for the first time, Poland and Sweden join the list. .
For two days, Amazon will offer discounts on electronics, toys, household items and clothing, among other items.

Amazon holds the event every year to build loyalty with its Prime subscribers and attract new shoppers to the program.
Prime Day, which has been running since 2015, accounts for about 1% to 2% of Amazon's annual sales, analysts say.

Rivals like Walmart, Target, Best Buy and Macy's are also holding their own sales to capitalize on the surge in online traffic fueled by Prime Day shoppers.
