Finally a folk festival again - the community of Vaterstetten was happy about that.
To the annoyance of the pageant participants, however, there was a space problem on the first day.

Ozapft is!
Mayor Leonhard Spitzauer opened the first "real" folk festival in Vaterstetten since the beginning of his term with three punches on Wednesday evening.
Shortly before, after a two-year break, there had finally been the traditional entry of the clubs, which had begun with the concert of the Ammerthal brass band at the town hall.
Folk festival in Vaterstetten: procession by numerous spectators
In a kilometer-long procession, the landlord, waitresses, local councillors, bands and local clubs marched through Vaterstetten.
The mayors of Zorneding and Haar, Piet Mayr and Andreas Bukowski, as well as the former mayor of Vaterstetten, Georg Reitsberger, were also present.
Spitzauer insisted on driving the brewery's team of horses himself.

The path was lined with many spectators who waved flags and some even brought extra folding chairs.
In the marquee, however, there was some resentment from some clubs, such as the adult education center: the tent was already well filled before the traditional tapping.

Anger about lack of space at the folk festival in Vaterstetten: Some left the marquee disappointed
Many of the tables reserved for the clubs had been occupied elsewhere, so that some of the participants in the procession could not find a seat and left the festival disappointed - there is room for improvement here.
On the other hand, those who managed to get a seat were happy about the good atmosphere and hearty music.
