- This week the bicycle shop "Bici Sport" with a workshop at Starnberger Straße 21 had to close due to a lack of deliveries.

Actually, the business with bicycles of all kinds is booming when you have goods.

The former bakery branch in Gauting, where a fish shop is to move in, is also empty.

The vacancy is not due to the competition in the supermarket in “Karls”, assures location promoter Dr.

The opening was delayed because there were difficulties with the delivery of materials during the interior fit-out.

The opening is scheduled for later this year.

There are more vacancies.

The previous shop "First Choice Pizza" with an area of ​​200 square meters on the southern main square has been offered for some time.

Kühnel-Widmann has already suggested a pop-up store.

But since the residential and commercial complex, which was built in the late 1970s, belongs to several private owners, "the municipality has no leverage there".

There are also vacancies on Hubert-Deschler-Strasse.

After the heating installation company Obereisenbuchner and the tax office moved out, rooms on the ground floor and first floor are currently empty.

The demand is there locally, explains the business promoter.

He keeps getting inquiries from craft businesses or from the food sector for space in Gauting.

After "Lore's Nähstübchen" moved to Bahnhofstrasse and the fabric shop "Rose Skilts" had to vacate its shop due to the threat of a wrecking ball (we reported), there are also vacancies on Starnberger Strasse.

The launderette is no longer in operation, as is the kitchen studio next door, which only opened for a short time, and, since this week, the “Bici Sport”.

The flower shop on Gautinger Strasse in Stockdorf was also empty.

Luckily, the location promoter knows that an agency has now rented the shop.

In addition: Compared to the other Würmtal communities, Gauting is still doing quite well.

Meanwhile, the existing retailers are wooing customers with some unusually decorated shop windows, which also pleases the location promoter.

Not only her customers are happy about the airy, summery paper model dress with flowers by master tailor Elena Hartmann, but also passers-by on the way to Edeka on the main square: "For me, this is a top location," emphasizes the master, who has been running her studio for four decades with bespoke designs and alterations tailoring on the first floor of the "Würmtal-Arkaden".

In addition to Elena Hartmann's showcase on the lower main square, the two above at the station in front of the Hotel "Simon" are always attractively designed, says Kühnel-Widmann happily.
