It was less than a year ago that VR Bank Starnberg Herrsching Landsberg donated a defibrillator to the municipality of Andechs, which was available at the new gymnasium in Erling.
On Tuesday it was discovered that this lifesaver had been dismantled and stolen.
Because it is currently vacation time, an exact time of the crime cannot be given.
Erling -
Mayor Georg Scheitz, who accepted the donation in August last year, is pissed off.
"That's the height of what's happening there," he wrote in a message to Starnberger Merkur.
Unknowns would have simply "distorted" the defibrillator.
The device in the gym was the third of its kind that VR Bank donated to the municipality of Andechs.
Other devices hang at the Erwin Rauscher House in Frieding and on the village square in Machtlfing.
All devices that are easy to use and can save lives.
If an affected person is helped within the first five minutes, there is a good chance that no damage will remain.
When the donation was handed over, Scheitz and his manager Michael Kuch recalled the case of Danish international Christian Eriksen at the 2021 European Championship.
The device at the gymnasium, whose value the police estimates at 2000 euros, seemed all the more important to them.
Information on the perpetrator and whereabouts are requested by calling (0 81 52) 9 30 20.
