The fire brigade and rescue service had an unusual mission with fortunately a light outcome on Friday afternoon in Ebersberg: A car was stuck in a house entrance.
Ebersberg
- Due to the flowers in the open trunk of the accident car, the scene seems particularly strange: On Friday afternoon, June 17, around 1 p.m., numerous alarmed rescue workers found a car stuck in a driveway in Ebersberg's Paulhuberweg.
First things first: fortunately, according to information from the local police, the driver only suffered minor injuries.
Forward gear and reverse gear confused: small car breaks through the front door
Apparently, the elderly woman at the wheel of the small car had confused forward with reverse gear when she wanted to park in the parking lot of the practice building opposite the building yard.
Instead of parking, the elderly woman broke through a narrow green strip with the vehicle, cleared a sign and some greenery and wedged her car in the entrance to the house.
Large-scale operation ends happily for everyone involved
As a result of the steering manoeuvre, the vehicle was so stuck in the breach that it initially had to remain there until the driver was freed.
The amount of property damage to the small car and the building is currently unclear.
A large number of emergency services, including an emergency doctor, the fire brigade and the police, rushed to the scene of the accident.
The large-scale operation that was triggered could be downgraded after a short time, as luckily no one was seriously injured.
What consequences the driver faces is now a matter for further investigations.
