If there was only one in Paris, it would be him.
Francis Szpiner is one of only two LR candidates qualified in the second round in the capital, with 33.28% of the vote.
The current mayor of the 16th, media lawyer and faithful friend of Jacques Chirac, feels his wings growing against Benjamin Haddad, 36-year-old candidate, former UMP, whom he says
"parachuted by Emmanuel Macron"
on the pretext that he has spent seven years in the United States before returning to his home neighborhood.
“Last Sunday, I only missed 2,500 votes to be in the lead and I have more votes in reserve than Haddad… I think that will do it”,
says Szpiner, 68.
To convince the 10.36% who voted for Eric Zemmour's party and the 3.53% who chose the National Rally candidate, he waves the flag of insecurity.
His profile as a lawyer for victims of terrorism is reassuring.
