Patrons, doers, supporters: Aying's honorary citizen celebrates his 90th birthday

Aying's honorary citizen Ruppert Fritzmeier is celebrating his 90th birthday today.
The celebrant is not only an entrepreneur, but also closely connected to the people and clubs in the area.

- When you hear the name Fritzmeier, the first thing that comes to mind is the well-known family business.
It is said that the senior boss can still be found regularly at the forest road headquarters.
Ruppert Fritzmeier has been running the business since 1962.
During his time as head of the company, he became the leading manufacturer of roll bars, tractor covers and cabs for tractors.
In 1975 Fritzmeier developed and manufactured the first plastic skis for Rosi Mittermaier.

But Fritzmeier's heart never beat only for the company and the family.
No, it was always important to him to take responsibility for his fellow human beings.
36 years of membership in the Helfendorfer and Ayinger municipal councils bear witness to this.
Fritzmeier was a co-founder of the Helfendorfer Sportverein and headed it for 40 years.
He is now an honorary member and honorary chairman.
He has also been a member of the traditional costume association for 60 years.
"We owe Ruppert a lot," emphasizes club boss Max Demmel.
"He cares a lot about our club, he supports us in many ways.
Our youth work is very important to him, where we can always count on his help.” Ruppert Fritzmeier was and is happy to give advice that is listened to and implemented.
Generous and dedicated
The Helfendorf fire brigade also always benefited from their patron Fritzmeier and his family.
Club chairman Hans-Peter Huber notes that “he is always there for the fire brigade.” The Fritzmeier company would be very generous, especially when it came to vehicle purchases.
It is no longer a matter of course that employees are allowed to go out on fire brigade missions.

From the founding of the non-partisan electoral community Helfendorf (PWH) in 1978 until 2002, Ruppert Fritzmeier was the group's chairman.
He was also strongly committed to the Hofoldinger Forest protection association in order to prevent the settlement of the major airport.
He provided premises and funds for public relations.
Many awards
Ruppert Fritzmeier has received several awards in the past for his commitment to the common good of the citizens, community, tradition and crafts.
He is the bearer of the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
In 2007 Fritzmeier also received honorary citizenship.
Former mayor Hans Eichler (PWH) justified this with the words: "Ruppert Fritzmeier has rendered outstanding services to the reputation and prestige of the community of Aying, even far beyond its borders."
