New Territories South Regional Criminal Headquarters (Administration and Support) Superintendent Lo Chi-kan pointed out that the Regional Crime Department has noticed that an active gang in the district is engaged in various types of criminal activities, including the operation of illegal gambling stalls, pornographic establishments and unlicensed bars. A number of violent crimes and "horse tanning" cases.

Since August last year, the police launched an operation code-named "Strong Crossbow". After nearly a year of undercover operations, they successfully infiltrated the society and collected a large amount of criminal evidence of triad characters and activities.

On June 15, the police believed that the time was right, so they launched a network closing operation.

The arrested persons are suspected of committing triad crimes, including claiming to be a member of a triad society, acting as a member of a triad society, participating in an illegal assembly, common assault, possession of drugs and money laundering.

During the operation, the police seized tie-tong, rubber hose, gloves and other evidence, and issued 22 599G tickets and 15 599F tickets.

Anti-Triad Chief Inspector Geng Bohan pointed out that the detectives also raided various locations in the South of the New Territories, cracked the gang's three illegal casinos, seized 30 sets of mahjong, 13 electric mahjong tables, a small amount of drugs, a batch of gambling equipment and 200,000 yuan gambling.

In addition, the police conducted a wealth investigation on the gang and found that gang members used 10 bank accounts to launder the criminal proceeds earned from illegal casinos, pornographic establishments and unlicensed bars, involving more than 16 million yuan.

Police have frozen $670,000 in proceeds of crime.

The 105 people arrested are still being detained for investigation. The police do not rule out that they will prosecute the relevant persons, nor do they rule out that more people will be arrested.

The police revealed that among the arrested persons, 19 minors (15 students) were recruited by gangsters to engage in various criminal activities, such as "bringing chickens" and "showing horses"; , "watching water" and serving as bar waiters, but they only receive low wages, but they act as cheap labor or dead men to blame for gangsters.

The police described that the high-level gang members were sitting on their own hands and pocketing the profits, but the youth members were miserably exploited.

Law Kwok-kai, Senior Superintendent of the New Territories South Regional Crime Headquarters, believes that this operation has hit a triad organization active in New Territories South, weakened its influence, and effectively blocked its source of income.

He appealed to young people not to be misled by criminals and greedy for petty monetary benefits, and try the law by themselves. He also suggested that parents communicate more with their children and pay attention to the background of their friends.
