The government said it had sent a letter on May 27 to invite about 2,000 licensed hotels or guesthouses to apply for the eighth round of designated quarantine hotels.
Hotels interested in participating in the scheme must obtain approval from the Food and Health Bureau, the Buildings Department, the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department and the Department of Health to ensure that the hotel’s design, facilities and work processes meet the government’s epidemic prevention requirements.
