He had to go tell him to his face: Emmanuel Macron therefore went to kyiv to assure Volodymyr Zelensky of the unwavering support of France and the European Union for his country invaded by Russia.
Accompanied by Olaf Scholz and Mario Draghi, the French President took the opportunity to express his support for Ukraine in view of Ukraine's accession to the Union.
In France, you can imagine that the opposition was not going to let this pass without grumbling.
We saw an electoral strategy which did not please, three days before the second round of the legislative elections which could lead to a relative majority for the Head of State.
So this is an opportunity to remind you that we vote on Sunday in France.
If you want to have your say in the composition of our National Assembly, don't forget to slip your ballot into the ballot box, whatever it is.
