Two people were killed and another wounded in a shooting incident inside a church in the town of Vistavia Hills, Alabama, USA, yesterday.
AFP quoted the town's police as saying on its Facebook page that the attacker entered St Stephen's Church and shot three people, two of whom later died, noting that a suspect had been arrested.
The repeated mass shootings sparked widespread outrage in the United States, where the majority of the population supports tougher gun laws, but the opposition of many lawmakers and Republican voters has long been an obstacle to the passage of major changes.
On May 24, 21 people, including 19 children, were killed in a shooting at an elementary school in Yuvaldi, Texas.
