On Thursday evening, the Ukrainian ambassador to Germany, Andrij Melnyk, was unusually gentle on the ZDF program "Maybrit Illner".
So far he seems to be satisfied with Chancellor Scholz's visit to Ukraine.
“It was an important visit for Ukraine.
Maybe also for Scholz himself, who was able to get an idea of the devastation," Melnyk said on the show.
Even before the Scholz trip, Melnyk made clear demands of the chancellor.

Referring to Olaf Scholz's promise to supply Ukraine with the state-of-the-art IRIS-T air defense system, he said: "I would like to personally thank the Chancellor.

Former Chancellor Gerhard Schröder is opposed to the deletion of his privileges.
In the course of this, he asked in a letter from his lawyer to the chairman of the budget committee, Helge Braun (CDU), for a clarifying conversation.
But he clearly refused.
"I find the whole process undignified," Braun wrote in a statement on Thursday afternoon.
The Budget Committee of the Bundestag had already decided in mid-May to withdraw some of Schröder's special rights.
The reason for this is the former chancellor's relationship with Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin, for which he has been heavily criticized.
The Schröder-Putin relationship could also cost the former chancellor the ring of honor from Cuxhaven.
