A woman got into trouble in a bathing pond, and witnesses immediately rushed to her aid.
The 61-year-old died after almost two weeks in the clinic.
Langwied am Lech – A swimming accident on June 2 has now come to a tragic end.
A woman died as a result of the accident, the police said on Wednesday (June 14).
Swimming accident in the district of Augsburg: four people rush to help the woman
Accordingly, on June 2, several people were at the Langweider bathing pond in the Augsburg district.
Around 3:25 p.m., they heard calls for help.
At the same time, they saw a woman "apparently fighting for her life in the water, flapping her arms," officials said at the time.
Four people jumped into the water "without hesitation" to help the woman.
By the time she arrived, the woman was already under water.
They took her upstairs and pulled her onto land.
The woman was not responsive, which is why they immediately started resuscitation - with success.
Rescue workers brought the 61-year-old to the university clinic in Augsburg.

Woman dies around two weeks after the accident in the Langweider bathing pond
On June 15, however, it became known that the woman died in the hospital, the police said.
"As is usual in such accidents, the Kripo Augsburg began investigating the exact circumstances of death."
