Today, the city of Ramallah in the West Bank witnessed a stand of support for the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons.
Wafa Agency stated that the participants in the sit-down organized by the Palestinian national forces raised the Palestinian flags and pictures of the prisoners on hunger strike in the occupation prisons, especially the two prisoners Khalil Awawda, who has been on hunger strike for 110 days and Raed Rayan, who has been on hunger strike for 75 days.
The participants stressed the support and backing of the cause of the prisoners, especially those who are fighting with their determination and will the battle of the empty intestines to gain their freedom, calling on the international community and human rights institutions to stand up to their responsibilities and urgently intervene to save their lives as a result of the brutal violations they are exposed to amid deliberate medical negligence.
The occupation forces continue to refuse to release the two prisoners, Awawda and Rayan, who suffer from a serious deterioration in their health, despite the appeal of the Palestinian prisoners' institutions to the Red Cross and the international institutions concerned with prisoners' affairs to intervene to save their lives.
