A member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Shura Council, Abul-Fadl Amawi, warned that his country's reaction would be harsher and in line with the work of the International Atomic Energy Agency, if the politicized reports of the Agency's Director-General against Iran's peaceful nuclear program continued.
Amawi said in a statement today that “the IAEA’s recent decision was not complicated and strict in terms of content, but in principle, the issuance of the decision is completely rejected in light of Iran’s cooperation with the agency,” noting that the Iranian response to the agency was to stop cooperation with it outside the framework of guarantees and since the issuance of the The latest decision against Iran has stopped 27 surveillance cameras belonging to the Agency, which do not fall under the framework of the Safeguards Agreement.
Amoy explained that his country continues to cooperate with the IAEA and that the surveillance cameras included under the safeguards agreement and set up before the nuclear agreement are still in the works, pointing out that recent years have proven that more cooperation with the IAEA means raising new questions about Iran's nuclear program.
