Miesbach – Benedikt Waizmann takes over the position of city marketing in Miesbach after the departure of Max Kalup.

The first tasks are imminent.

Benedikt Waizmann is the new head of Miesbach city marketing.

The 35-year-old was officially introduced at the city council's most recent meeting, having already taken up his post on May 1st.

He brings experience in various professional fields.


"It's nice when you can work for your home town," says Waizmann happily.

He comes from Miesbach, went to school there and is now succeeding Max Kalup.

After completing a bank apprenticeship at the Kreissparkasse Miesbach-Tegernsee, he completed his vocational diploma and studied business administration in Munich.

The 35-year-old worked as a student at Lidl and in the communications department of the CSU regional management in Munich.

After completing his studies, he worked there from 2016 to the end of 2020 as a social media officer and was also involved in this role in the 2017 election campaign. .

His job there: social media and content manager.

Waizmann is now getting down to his next tasks in Miesbach, such as the culinary shopping evening on August 10th and the 1,000 lights on November 26th.

On the other hand, further projects are planned to promote and revitalize the retail trade.

It also means getting to know the Miesbach business owners and networking, as the new city marketing manager explained.

His areas of responsibility also include the town twinning with Marseillan and digitization.

The organization of the next project is already scheduled for July 9th.

Then a long shopping Saturday with a children's flea market is planned, together with a cycling culture day, a campaign within the framework of city cycling.
