The President of the United States, Joe Biden, fell to the ground this Saturday during a bike ride near the beach in the State of Delaware, where he is spending the weekend with his wife, Jill Biden, as he usually does when he is not He has other commitments.
The 79-year-old president lost his balance when he stopped to greet several neighbors, but members of the Secret Service quickly helped him to his feet.
"I'm fine," the Democratic leader assured the press, explaining that he fell because his shoes got stuck in the pedals.
The mishap has taken place during a morning bike ride that he has done with his wife, dressed in sportswear, white helmet and gloves, in Rehoboth Beach (Delaware), where he spends the weekend, since the Monday is a holiday.
“As the president has said, his foot got caught on the pedal when he dismounted and he's fine.
He doesn't need medical attention.
The president hopes to spend the rest of the day with his family, ”said a spokesman shortly after.

Questioned about other matters, Biden has stated that he is studying a possible reduction in tariffs on China and that he will "soon" speak with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping.

He has also claimed to be "happy" with the agreement of a group of Democratic and Republican senators to advance a bill with some arms control measures.
"I'm ready to sign it," he said, also citing Delaware as an example for its ban on assault weapons.
In March of last year, Biden tripped three times while climbing the stairs of the presidential plane, Air Force One, but the White House downplayed the incident.
