A court in Cartagena sentenced this Friday to 23 years and six months in prison four of the five detainees for the murder of Paraguayan prosecutor Marcelo Pecci, which occurred in May, according to the Prosecutor's Office in a statement.

The Prosecutor's Office identified those convicted as Wendre Still Scott Carrillo, a Venezuelan national, who, according to the investigation, would have shot the prosecutor;

Eiverson Arrieta, who would have been in charge of transportation and logistics for the attack;

and Marisol Londoño and Cristian Monsalve Londoño, who would have monitored the victim.

The Prosecutor's Office said that during the judicial hearing the defendants ratified the acceptance of charges and offered forgiveness to society and Pecci's family for the crime.
