The Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Anton Kobyakov revealed today that the forum was exposed to cyber attacks originating from the United States and Ukraine.
"The Nazis targeted us with cyber attacks of up to 140 gigabytes per second, but of course we dealt with them," Russia Today website quoted Kobyakov as saying at a press conference held at the end of the forum.
"We were attacked from points in the United States, Ukraine, Indonesia, Brazil, Colombia, Thailand, Bangladesh and other countries, but we survived," he added.
Russian President Vladimir Putin postponed his speech yesterday before the Petersburg International Economic Forum for an hour due to the exposure of the forum's systems to a cyber attack.
