At the Cranger fair 2022, couples can get married in a gondola in the Ferris wheel for the first time.
How does the wedding at 50 meters height work?
Herne – In 2022 some couples will say yes again.
The search for the right wedding location is not always easy - after all, the day should be something very special for the bride and groom.
A highlight will be offered to the bridal couples at the Cranger Kirmes 2022 in Herne - marriages will take place there for the first time in August in the Ferris wheel.

"This year, the registry office of the city of Herne is making it possible for the first time to get married in the Jupiter Ferris wheel at the Cranger fair," the city of Herne announced.
On four dates, bridal couples should then be able to exchange vows on a gondola ride.
Guests are also allowed to sit in the gondolas.
In total, the ceremony in the Ferris wheel gondola lasts 20 minutes.

According to the city of Herne, there are already enough inquiries for the four wedding dates in the Ferris wheel.
No further dates are planned.
In August 2022, the couples will be flying high, because the Jupiter Ferris wheel will reach a height of 50 meters.
From there, the bride and groom and their guests can enjoy a spectacular view of the Cranger fair and celebrate their wedding together with close friends or family members.
The Ferris wheel has a total of 36 gondolas - there is room for 8 people per gondola.

Normally, the place at the Cranger fair 2022 would have been given to the Bellevue Ferris wheel.
The operator of the Bellevue Ferris wheel, showman Oscar Bruch, has now canceled the Cranger fair.
He gave organizational reasons for his withdrawal.
"According to the guidelines for the allocation of space, the free space was allocated to the Jupiter Ferris wheel from Barth & Kipp," the city of Herne announced in June.
The Bellevue Ferris wheel reaches a height of 55 meters, the ride has a total of 42 gondolas, each with space for 6 passengers.

The Cranger fair on the Rhine-Herne Canal in Herne is the largest folk festival in North Rhine-Westphalia.
A total of over 500 showmen gather there on the 110,000 square meter site.
Four million visitors flock to the fair every year to experience attractions and rides and to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the fair.
