80 new apartments are planned at Stutenanger in Oberschleißheim.

The plans are expected to come into force at the end of this month.

Possibly as early as autumn 2023, the new town center should then help to upgrade one of the most unattractive spots in the community.

Oberschleißheim

- Leveling a little ground may not seem like much.

After years of standstill on the large construction site, the speed recently set gives hope that something is finally moving forward here.

The long-closed Rewe supermarket, which supplied the neighborhood for decades, had stubbornly slowed down any progress in the past.

Only when Penny-Markt, which is based in the same group, announced that it would take over the successor, did things start to move again.

It doesn't have to be a disadvantage that Penny, a store from the unwelcome Rewe Group at Stutenanger, is taking over the helm.

On the contrary: Stefanie Haselbeck (CSU), for example, thinks it is right "to serve the low-price segment at the location".

Oberschleißheim/Munich: Apartments, playground and business

With his decision to offer apartments through the discounter, the fractions want to relax the muddled housing market.

41 apartments are planned above the market with 800 square meters of retail space.

36 are added in the Sedlmayr house.

Penny and the Sedlmayr building are the central buildings in what will be the new town centre.

Both houses are four stories high plus attic.

The apartments are of different sizes.

The spectrum ranges from apartments to multi-room apartments for large families.

A small playground is planned in the vicinity of both houses.

Fences are deliberately avoided throughout the quarter in order to underline the impression of spaciousness.

In addition to living space, the municipal council allows commercial use in both houses.

Doctors, lawyers, service providers and social institutions are welcome in the future offices.

After complaints from individual residents, Cornelia Nikel experienced a wave of solidarity for her Café Lani in Unterhaching.

And she doesn't want to give up.
