The president of Peru, Pedro Castillo, testified for at least three hours in the Prosecutor's Office about the tax theory that points out that Castillo is allegedly the leader of a criminal organization that "embedded" itself in the Ministry of Communications and Transportation, delivering tenders for public works to private companies.
Castillo has denied this fiscal theory and said he was "satisfied" after having answered the questions of the Prosecutor's Office.
This is the first time in Peru's history that a sitting president has been investigated.
